This piece was originally inspired by someone else painting bananas with me, this led me to take a more abstract approach to the bananas, because i wanted to experiment with effect i could give a banana.
Completed several years ago, this piece was based off of an image I found on a google search. While the original image was merely a face, I added the vegetation and made it my own.
This sketch was done while studying abroad in Nantes, France. I don't recall what the inspiration was for this piece, or what I was thinking while I drew it, but I did get rather carried away...
"Bobcat" is another mix of spray paint and oils. the refined and realist style Bobcat mixes well with the flat brown background of spray paint. This particular Bobcat was originally a photo taken by Hugh Ranson, who happened to catch a family of Bobcats at a local park.
"Sea Turtle" is an oil painting on wood, surrounded with a brick red spray paint. The Sea turtle mixes the rough, new generation of spray paint and street art with an old realist effect the turtle gives.
